HOW DO NURSES BECOME SART MEMBERS?
Your ART program must be a member of SART and your director must submit your name as a team member to SART. **Remind your practice or medical director to submit names and e-mail addresses of everyone on your team.** In order to be an individual member of SART you must first be an ASRM member. ASRM has approved offering ONE year FREE membership to ASRM for all SART team members who are currently not ASRM members. Individuals will get access to the electronic version of Fertility and Sterility and SART Times and other materials. After the first year there will be a reduced membership rate to continue ASRM membership. WHY IS SART MEMBERSHIP DESIRABLE FOR ART NURSES? A truly compelling reason in the past 2 years has been having access to SART's aides for compliance with new FDA regulations, including website posting of templates of SOP's and forms that facilitate screening for donor eligibility. SART is working with the NPG to put together regional meetings to provide educational information, to provide a forum for feedback, and to further our professional interests. As a SART member, you vote for your nurse representative on the SART Executive Council, and you can be a candidate for this office. General membership benefits include Practice Advocacy Patient Advocacy Quality Assurance Advocacy ART Research Government Interaction WHAT IS SART'S MISSION? "The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology promotes and advances the standards for the practice of assisted reproductive technology to the benefit of our patients, members, and society at large."
