This is the question I asked of Marty Wells and her response.

At ASRM I heard that a donor with Chlamydia requires a year post treatment before donating. This is the protocol we adopted. However I am not able to find the specific section related to this. Am I correct in applying the one year rule?

Response: You are correct - it is FDAs current thinking that donors with Chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis as treatable diseases can then be tested and reassessed with evidence of treatment after 1 year. We will clarify this in the final donor eligibility guidance.

Does anyone have any additional information?
